LOCAL AREA

Alum Chine is a distinct and popular holiday location situated between Bournemouth and Poole whilst still being a distinct suburb of Bournemouth. Alum Chine beach is hugely popular with families due to a pirate-themed large adventure playground, toilets with baby changing facilities, RNLI lifeguard stations, pubs and ice cream kiosks. From Alum Chine beach you can take a peaceful stroll through the exotic woodlands. Westbourne is an elegant district of Bournemouth located on the way to Poole and known affectionately as 'The Village'. Offering a mix of design specialists, beauty stores and delicious delis, pubs and child-friendly restaurants. Whilst Westbourne is busy, Alum Chine offers a more peaceful and relaxing holiday environment than in Bournemouth centre, as you would expect. Bournemouth centre itself offers high street shops, theatres, an Odeon cinema and restaurant complex 'BH2', restaurants, bars and entertainment for the whole family. The walk along the Promenade underneath the cliffs or along the beach to Bournemouth Pier is always a popular choice. An alternative walk is via the zig-zag paths or the cliff lift, and to walk along the clifftop taking in the magnificent vista across Poole Bay. The land train runs along the Promenade, from close by the bus terminus at the foot of the Chine, to Bournemouth Pier and to Boscombe Pier beyond. Seasonal open top buses will take you into Bournemouth and Poole. If you walk along the Promenade in the other direction towards Poole you will come across Branksome Chine which offers yet more sea and sand.

A very beautiful apartment with classy interior and plenty of space for a family of four. We were traveling by public transport. This was a great location close to the beautiful beach and short bus trips away from great locations such as the Sandbanks, Shell Bay, Swanage and the Jurassic Coast. Hopefully we are able to come back for a longer stay soon! Thank you very much!
