Burton is a in the borough of Christchurch and the house is approximately 2 miles from Christchurch town centre. Christchurch is a harbourside town of character and charm located where the Avon and Stour rivers flow into Christchurch Harbour. Christchurch Quay offers access through to the riverside walks, park, café, Boathouse Restaurant, bandstand, children's play area and an exciting water play park and paddling pool which has many interactive features including water jets and sprays, a water play pump and wheel, channels and sluices as well as a paddling pool. On the Quay you can also take the opportunity to take the Ferry which runs regularly to Wick, Mudeford Sandbank and Hengistbury Head during the summer months (weather permitting). Just around the corner is the very interesting Red House Museum and Gardens which is a charming Georgian building, built as a workhouse in 1764. A short drive away is Mudeford Quay and Avon Beach where fun days can be enjoyed at the beach or seaside activities like crab fishing.
