Branksome Chine which leads to Branksome Beach is within walking distance of the property, and is an ideal way to reach the sea, as well as a peaceful place for a woodland stroll. Once on the golden shore there are many traditional seaside activities to choose from. Branksome has a superb safe, sandy beach, a popular restaurant right next to the beach and the famous beach huts. Branksome beach offers spectacular views of Poole Bay and across the coastline. Alum Chine is in the other direction, Alum Chine beach is hugely popular with families due to a pirate-themed large adventure playground, toilets with baby changing facilities, RNLI lifeguard stations, pubs and ice cream kiosks. From Alum Chine beach you can take a peaceful stroll through the exotic woodlands. Westbourne is a short walk away and is an elegant district of Bournemouth and known affectionately as 'The Village', offering a mix of design specialists, beauty stores and delicious delis, pubs and child-friendly restaurants. Sandbanks, which is considered to be one of the most exclusive areas anywhere in the world, is just a short drive away. Sandbanks is a spectacular peninsular of land at the entrance to Poole Harbour. As you drive along the peninsula you can see the harbour on your right. The water on the harbourside is very shallow for a long way out and perfect for practising water sport activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking, windsurfing and dinghy sailing.
