Southbourne is home to one of the many Blue Flag award-winning beaches, the miles of safe golden sands ensures a perfect family day out. Just up from the beach, you will find a very popular children's play park on the cliff top, with the opportunity to stroll along to the many cafes. The main area of Southbourne is Southbourne Grove, which harbours a long shopping street that has a unique mix of individual shops. Here you'll find local amenities such a post office, bank, pharmacy and chain supermarkets including both Tescos and Sainsburys, for those who wish to cook at home of an evening. Don't forget to explore Fishermans Walk nature trail, a stunning walk along the cliff top situated between Fishermans Avenue and Portman Crescent in Southbourne, linking to Southbourne Grove. It's a narrow strip of wooded land with a nature trail, woodland flowers and shrubs and plenty of wildlife. A short drive away is Tuckton Tea Gardens which is a traditional cosy cafe set in beautiful gardens beside the River Stour. They even have a putting green and crazy golf course to keep the children amused. Also you can climb aboard one of the Classic ferries and take a trip down the River Stour in to Christchurch Harbour. Reviews & comments

8/10 - Nice house with sleeping space for five. A little dusty, but otherwise perfectly clean. The upstairs bedrooms (master bedroom and twin bedroom) were very nice, and the sofa bed downstairs was fine for a teenager (the existing TV is impressive there!). The living area is much smaller than it appears in the pictures, and the table has to be folded up and down for every meal, otherwise there's no room. It's still fine as a holiday apartment; there's no more space. The location in the middle of a purely residential area is initially surprising, and thanks to the renovation, the house stands out from many of the others. Don't be put off by the somewhat run-down neighboring houses. The beautiful beach is within walking distance (quite a distance with luggage), and around the corner are numerous nice pubs, shops, and stores that aren't exclusively geared towards tourism. It was a lovely stay!

OVERALL: 10/10 (Staff: 10 / Cleanliness: 10 / Location: 10 / Facilities: 10 / Comfort: 10 / Value for money: 10) - Very quiet place. Great neighbors. Good area. Great house for rest and life. Everything was great. There is everything you need, a store nearby and the beach is 5 minutes by car where there is free parking. We had a wonderful holiday.

5-star review - Ideally situated for local amenities, we chose this property for it's proximity to a local music festival in Kings Park.

8/10 - Overall a well equipt and comfortable house, good location and short walk to beach. Location was within very good walking distance of lovely beach, prom and local shops. Good size garden. Plenty bedding and towels available. Kitchen was very well stocked with equipment etc. The info guide was clear and reassuring, although we weren't entirely clear which bin was for the recycling.
