LOCAL AREA

Southbourne is a picturesque coastal area located to the east of Bournemouth and is conveniently close to the historic town of Christchurch. This area boasts stunning blue flag sandy beaches and a plethora of leisure activities. By taking a short walk along the clifftop, you will reach the Funicular Victorian cliff lift which will take you down to the sandy shores below. Cafe Riva, a cliff top cafe, serves a variety of food and beverages. Wick Village is a short drive away, and offers riverside walks, boating activities, a public slipway and a 3-par golf course with a driving range. There, visitors can also find Tuckton Tea Gardens and ferries that take them to Christchurch Quay. We stayed here for 10 nights and have nothing but great things to say about our time here. The flat is on the main floor of a larger home and is incredibly spacious and well appointed. There is lovely and private outdoor space if the weather is good and it’s a quick walk either to the very nice high street of Southbourne or the beautiful Bournemouth beach. Some of the bonus features include 3 bathrooms, a full laundry room, and an enormous walk-in closet in the master bedroom. We really appreciated the quick response time when we had questions, and flexibility where we needed it. We would definitely stay here again!

5 star review - Great spot. Even better than the pictures. It’s very spacious and well equipped. The kitchen has every utensil, double ovens and everything else you could possibly need. The bedrooms and living space are spacious and very bright. The location is perfect - a short wander to the Southbourne High street and to the sea and the beautiful long walks along the cliff.. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive and answered all our questions. When we had a small issue, they immediately responded and had it fixed in no time. We would definitely recommend it, and would stay here again. Many thanks!!!

9/10 - Fantastic location. Beaches, bars and restaurants all in easy walking distance. Beautiful garden and spacious modern accommodation with high spec. Suggested Improvements: We had to buy quite a lot of those consumable items such as hand soap, dishwasher tablets, toilet roll. Other than a bit of milk there weren’t any items such as coffee, sugar etc.

Lovely place to stay and location wise, it is in a brilliant spot - a short walk down to the beach and really close to the vibrant highstreet.

The flat was well situated for the beach and shop/cafes and provided comfortable accommodation and beds. We had problems with the readiness of the flat for us and on going cleanliness issues but the hosts sorted this out quickly and in a friendly manner. There are some unique characteristics which are pleasant such as the bifold doors into the garden, the sitting area in the garden, the large bath and decorative statues. Please note that hand soap/toilet role etc is not provided which we had missed in the description although previous guests had left various items for use which was helpful i.e washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, oil and herbs. But these may not be necessarily there. I would recommend for families.
